Jeff Brown Is Here to Hold Criminals Accountable and Fight for Grundy
Jeff is an accomplished and successful felony prosecutor for James Glasgow in the sex crimes unit of the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office. He has spent the majority of his career prosecuting the highest level of felonies and has yet to lose a single case as a felony prosecutor. His work as a trial attorney has made him stand out in the field.
Jeff is the Vice President of the Board of Directors for the statewide Children’s Advocacy Centers of Illinois, having been appointed based on his accomplishments as a full-time felony prosecutor and passion for protecting children. He is also the Chief of the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office’s Animal Protection Unit where he aggressively goes after those who abuse animals. He also carries the role of dog handler to a 6 year old Labrador retriever named Kiwi that comforts abused children during criminal investigations and trials.
Jeff was raised in Grundy County between Morris and Minooka, and currently resides in Morris. He is a proud graduate of Morris Community High School. After MCHS, Jeff graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in economics and went on to work as a corporate business analyst for the world’s largest steel corporation after departing Champaign. He then received his Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University College of Law where he worked as a graduate assistant for both Military Student Services and the Department of Support and Advocacy (the office tasked with helping students that were in Cole Hall during the NIU Shooting). Jeff also worked as a research assistant to a legal professor studying the field of emotional intelligence, which is an area he has a passion for to this day.
Jeff believes prosecutors are supposed to be held to the highest of standards compared to any other lawyer or citizen. “Grundy County deserves a prosecutor whose integrity, honesty, and professionalism are never left open to question and who never allows politics or personal gain to play a role in their decisions,” said Brown. He went on to say, “once elected, criminals will be held accountable for the crimes that they commit, and I will seek punishment that fits the crime. Too many people are being given sweetheart deals and put back out in our community to reoffend. That cannot continue if we care about the safety of our home.”

Donations
Asking others for their hard-earned money is one of the more difficult parts of running a countywide campaign. Being raised mainly by a single mother who worked multiple jobs to raise my sister and I, has made me truly appreciate the donations and support I have received. Please do not feel any obligation to contribute monetarily, instead your support through talking to anyone and everyone about my campaign will be worth more to me than you realize. All donations and support will help us win this campaign together and create a positive change in our community. I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart.
